Cami's TOP Lotion!
I always like trying new things. Even though I know the very BEST sushi roll to get one I get to my local sushi watering hole...I always have to try something new.
Recently I did the same thing with lotion. I had the very best lotion...but I wanted to try something new. A new scent, a new style...
After going through THREE lotions within the past few weeks, let me just tell you that I'm back to my original lotion...
This is the only stuff that leaves me feeling super moisturized - and smelling good :D
Do you girls ever do this? Want to try something new & then pay for it?
What's your GO-TO, favorite lotion?!

Thoughts on...Batman??!
For those of you who have seen the newest Batman...what did you think?
I thought it was incredible. (Sort of.)
I LOVED the twists (yes...multiple!) at the end. Absolutely loved it. I love Anne as Catwoman. Christian...yum. I even got teary-eyed at the end. I also really liked that there was no cursing.
I did NOT love the amount of violence. I thought it was great that you didn't see any blood, gore, or guts. But the amount of violence was insane. It is such a dark...sinister film with all of the violence.
I don't know why it bothered me so much. Maybe because of what happened in Colorado?
I've seen violent movies before...but this one just struck a chord with me. I also saw it in iMax so maybe everything was intensified?
If you've seen it...what are your thoughts?

Wedding Venue Blues
We know what colors we want. We know what date we want. (Er...I want...3/30/13...has a nice ring, doesn't it?) We know who we want in our bridal/groom parties. We know who we want to invite. We know what kind of cake we want.
We just don't know WHERE we want to get have the reception. (Beach ceremony, please!) But reception??! Can't decide. We don't know.
The town we live in is fairly small. There's not that many country clubs or wedding reception halls available...especially that are nice! And within a decent price range.
I'm ready to rent a huge beach house and have the reception there. But I'm not sure if 100 people could comfortably fit. An outside reception in March? Hmm.
I've neve been to an outside reception period.
Have you? How was it?

Birchbox VS. MyGlam
Remember when I said in July that I might be getting rid of Birchbox?
I think the time is finally here. (I just want to use my Birchbox points at this point - what to get...what to get??!!)
I decided to do MYGLAM vs. BIRCHBOX this month.
By the way, MyGlam is the same concept as Birchbox...$10/month for sample BUT you get them in a really cute makeup bag.
I'm anxious to know what you ladies think - if you agree with me or not...
This was my Birchbox...
This was my MyGlam...
Regenerative cream & the facial serum are from the same company that uses plant stem cells. In my book, that is pretty darn cool!! I'm excited to try it. Especially because I'm always look for new face creams.
Who doesn't love a new lip gloss? Some lip glosses are worth $10 all on their own! This is a full size product, too.
Roll on perfume??! COOL. At least if it's another perfume sample, it's something cool!
I'm always looking for new eyeshadows - I'm excited to try this one...and for it to be in a pretty silvery color!
Full size nail polish??! SCORE. And in such a fun and pretty color.
Ok, I do realize that maybe I lucked out this month and MyGlam is awesome...but just the fact that both my lip gloss & nail polish are full size is two thumbs up in my book! When I've gotten a sample of nail polish from Birchbox before, it's always been a sample - not full size.
Based on my August MyGlam and my August Birchbox - My Glam wins. Move over, Birchbox...
Are you girls still using Birchbox? Or have you made the switch to a different service?
If you're still with Birchbox - any recommendations on what I should get with my points? If only they had the Naked Palette. ;)

This was my Birchbox...
-A razor
-Brightening cleanser
-Viva La Juicy Perfume
-2 little hand soaps
-Eye lash gel
My thoughts...
A razor...really? I want to find new and exciting products in my box. Not something I can grab from the grocery store.
Brightening cleanser...at least this is useful! I haven't used it yet but I am happy about this.
I'm tired of perfume.
Hand soap sample?? I just...I don't get it.
Eye lash gel...pretty cool! I've never seen or heard of this before.
None of these products really caught my eye or anything, though.
I almost would say that one of the coolest parts of this month's box was the cute insert...had a bunch of tips & whatnot in it.
This was my MyGlam...

-Lip gloss
-Roll-on perfume
-Mineral eyeshadow
-Facial serum

Sprint Customer Service Issues - Round TWO!
Back in March (yes, five month ago) I mentioned some issues with Sprint Customer Service.
Well, the saga continues...
Well, the saga continues...

My bill goes up ANOTHER $12.50 a month after less than 30 days ago was promised IN writing it would be the
same price for the remainder of my contract. An hour and a half phone conversation - shuffled from
people to people - and waiting to hear back from Sandy at 757-223-3916 - I have
been the coolest, laid back - no cursing, no yelling client for over 15 years -
paid in full every month and I know algorithmically - I fall within the top 5%
of your consumer base and would love to just have some CONSISTENCY. Every time
I call - I am told one thing and then what is delivered is completely opposite.
I have not threatened to cancel - even though Breanne transferred me to Daniel
who started the convo by saying - "I hear you are canceling." NEGATIVE, captain.
I am not and what is going on within your company to have such broken
communication from one person to the next?
On July 18th, Justin took off $12.50 from my bill that was to come off every month until the
remainder of my contract. I go to pay today and the $12.50 is back on. What is going on??
Becky, throws me to Breanne, who throws me to Daniel - who ends up hanging up
on me - THANKS COACH!
So after 15 years of service and bills paid in full every
month ahead of time - I am now awaiting either Ericka or Paul to call me back -
The JEDI KNIGHTS - who, from what Daniel says, "aren't going to do anything
anyways."
What to do guys? Appreciate the service, run around and 2 hours
wasted on from what Daniel says - crying about $12.50. Well, it isn't
about $12.50 it is about $240 (plus!) that will add up over the months. Sprint has already
gone up $20 on me in the midst of my contract (lost that battle back in March) and less than 30 days ago, accepted the measly $12.50 a month credit as a resolution and figured I would just
write off the rest.
BUT now...WAMOOO HUNG up on by Daniel the great! Smooth
move Dan. Thanks.

Sea Turtle Hunting Clarification
Before I have Florida Sea Turtle Patrol and Wildlife Rangers called on me - I need to straighten something out!
When I mentioned our first date was sea turtle hunting in my proposal story, I do NOT mean we are hunting sea turtles to kill and eat. I do realize that messing with sea turtles in ANY way is completely, 100% against the law and could lead me to jail (which I do not want!)
V called my attention to this when he said he loved the proposal story but I might get arrested if the wrong pair of eyes read the story.
When I say "sea turtle hunting" I mean going for a night walk on the beach (no flash lights - that's against the law, too!) with hopes that we will a sea turtle emerge from the water during the season sea turtles lay eggs. I understand the chance of seeing this is pretty much slim to negative NONE - but it is still fun to walk on the beach...like a little kid...with thoughts that MAYBE - just MAYBE we'll see some sea turtle magic. :)
(And for the record, we would not touch the sea turtle in any way! Just admire the beautiful creature - from afar.)

Tasty Tuesday - Input Please!
Ok I am asking you lovely ladies for your input. Please be honest. :)
Should I keep up with Tasty Tuesday or give it a rest? It seems like no one is interested in it - which is fine - but if you enjoy it - please let me know so I will keep up with it!
My feelings won't be hurt, promise :)

Sometimes You Just Have to Laugh...
when you find out someone has a little crush on your fiance! (And I guess pat yourself on the back, knowing you have someone that other ladies want!)
Take a look at what I came across at work last week -
So this story makes a little more sense - V builds websites for local companies, business consulting, etc. One of his clients is the company I currently work at. There was a lady who used to have my position (until she quit) and I found this little sticky note at my desk!
I saw the website address...I was like, "oh, ok"
Then I saw his phone number...and I'm like, "well that makes sense because she was helping him with a few things on the website."
Then I saw the hearts and I just lost it laughing.
I then quickly snapped a shot & sent it to V where he joined me in laughter :D Oh, it's the little things in life!
Have you come across anything like this? If so, how did you react??

Friday Letters, 8.10.12
Linking up with Ash

I Said YES!!
Friday night V & I went to a bonfire with some friends a few miles down the road. It was after midnight when we finally decided to head home - I had work the next day. Soon, we realized the car & house keys were missing. (Again!) We searched for near thirty minutes. No dice!
Even midst the searching V kept making a comment - "today is going to be the best day of my life." My answer back was - "how?!" He says "you never know. But I promise you it will be."
Some friends drove us home to try to help us break into our house.
The good news is...we failed. Finally near 2:30am one of the locksmiths was able to come out and let us in our home where I had my set of keys waiting! I drove V to get his car (half way there the locksmith called to make us turn around...HE forgot the wd-40 in our home...talk about a long night!)
When we finally got there, he asked if I would help him look one more time. It was actually at one of our first dates - we were sea turtle hunting on this particular part of the beach! I got out of the car to help him look for his keys (even though I kept mentioning we'd never find them.)
As we were walking down to the beach, he said "today is going to be the best day of my life!" I kind of rolled my eyes - wanted to go to bed since I had to be up early for work.
I did know that I couldn't be with someone better than him after losing keys - his attitude was so great. We handled such a crummy situation so well!
After looking for a couple of minutes, V took my hand & put it on his chest. He asked me if I felt how much his heart was beating and he asked me why it was beating so much. Me being the smart alec I am (and tired!) said - "because you're alive!" He kind of rolled his eyes and smiled.
Then...HE GOT ON ONE KNEE & proposed!
I joined him in the sand...we kissed & hugged & were laughing & just so happy!
We stayed on the beach for a couple of hours after that like little kids on Christmas...incredibly excited & happy, gabbing away!
I am so beyond thrilled! For some reason I didn't cry when he proposed - maybe because I was in shock? But oh boy have I cried since the proposal - especially when I think how HAPPY I am! I'm going to be marrying my best friend! I simply cannot put into words how I feel...my heart feels SO much fuller (which I didn't think was possible!) and thinking of growing old with my best friend makes my heart melt and gives me a smile so big!
And yes...he really did lose his keys.

I'm Starting a New Job!
A new job...a new chapter!
I have MORE amazing news to share. (I think I'll save that for tomorrow...!)
So, remember when I shared with you how much corporate sucks?
Well, I decided I was going to be proactive about the whole situation. Most importantly, though, I prayed...fiercely. I prayed for the RIGHT move, the RIGHT future job, the RIGHT company, the RIGHT situation, what GOD wants for me.
He led me right to a Christian air condition company that is literally about 12 blocks down! I've known the owner for almost three years so it makes leaving all of my gym friends a LITTLE easier.
I am excited for this next step in my life. I am nervous - all new programs, new terms, new EVERYTHING.
BUT! I will be working Monday-Friday until 5pm. No more working until 8pm and no more working on weekends. Hallelujah! What an answered prayer.
I was praying to have a better idea of what my next move in life would be by August 1 and God delivered...I found out on August 1 that there was a position available at this company in the office and the owner wanted ME to have it. He made sure to match my pay (and some!) and offer lots of smiles. ;)
It was tough to have my last day working at the gym. I've been working there for three years now. My co-workers and I have pretty much became family. Even a lot of the members have become extremely close to me. I didn't tell too many people my last day was on Monday because I knew I would cry. ;)
But my co-workers are amazing...I am so thankful for them & I will miss them oodles.
And an AMAZING, beautiful journey ends while another even more amazing and even more beautiful journey begins...
