Wedding Wednesday: We Officially Have a Date!
Are you ready for it? I know I teased you ladies last week with saying we have a venue, which we do! I just wanted to wait until we put down the deposit until I shared it.
I officially get to change my last name on 3/30/13 (March 30, 2013!) That is almost six months away!! I AM SO EXCITED!
I still have quite a few (ok, a lot!) of things I need to get figured out but I feel so much better having an official date and venue.
OH and ready for our venue? I didn't take any with my phone the past few times I've been there so you can either wait until I share wedding photos with you ;) or check out their website if you want. It's a restaurant called The Reef, right outside of St. Augustine. Do you know the best part? It is right ON the beach!

The Power of Prayer
No matter what the circumstance, I believe in the power of prayer - the power the Holy Spirit has through prayer.
Right now, I ask that you take a second to lift V's mom up in prayer - that you pray that the surgery she is having today is a great success and her recovery time is quick. I ask that you pray that what the doctor's diagnosed as cancer is gone after this surgery - that it leaves her body permanently and never to return. I ask that you pray for comfort and strength for her through this difficult time, along with the rest of the family. I ask that you pray that He blankets her in comfort and love. I ask that you pray for all of this in the name of Jesus.

My thoughts...
The Bvlgari perfume smells pretty good. I'm tired of perfume samples though.
I am loving the Color Club Custom Nail Polish - such a pretty color!
The twistband Lace Hair Tie is actually pretty neat...it's pretty and so comfy.
The Vasanti Bright Up! is ok. I got a brightner cleanser a few rounds ago and don't notice a difference at all. Should I?
Wei to go is REALLY neat. It's a cleanser but it is tinted. Perfect "sleep over" kit for sure.
The brush guard, I can't figure out how to use them...ha! :)
I haven't had a chance to check out the digital download yet. I'm not a big fan of them.
Thoughts: I'm actually a fan of this Birchbox! I really liked the twistband tie, nail polish, and wei to go! So that's half of the box. Better than I've been doing! I also like the little fall trend booklet they have included.

Would it be weird if I used the make up bag as a small purse? I just might. I am loving it!
I just recently got some eye shadow brushes so seeing the smudge brush made me happy!
I am intrigued with the split end sealer! I should really get a hair cut due to split ends...but this sealer intrigues me and I cannot wait to try it out.
-I am always a fan of sparkle gloss! This gloss is better than last month's gloss. (In my opinion.)
-The mirabella eye color is pretty. I'm going to test it out within the next couple of days to see how long it lasts.
-Without a top clear coat on it, the Tightrope by Circus is a little dull...it almost looks matted. But with the clear coat, looks pretty!
Thoughts: Love. Love. Love. I am a huge fan of all of these products. I don't have anything negative to say. Maybe I lucked out...again? (2 months in a row - 2 thumbs up!)
Do you ladies still have Birchbox...or did you make the switch to MyGlam/Ipsy or another program? I want to know your thoughts :)
Wedding Update
We finally picked a venue...we finally picked a venue...hey, hey, hey!
We FINALLY found one we liked & were completely impressed with. No more wedding venue blues for us!
I'm SO thrilled!! We haven't put in the deposit yet (waiting for Saturday so we can take another trip down there) - as soon as we do (I don't want to jinx anything!!) I'll share it with you. I'll also share the date with you, too. But...you girlies will have to wait ;)
I'm searching and searching now for the PERFECT invites and save the dates. I kind of need the save the dates done fairly soon.
Where did YOU get your save the dates from? Did you have them done for you or order off a website? And I guess, the question is, did you even do save the dates? I'm debating whether they are entirely necessary or not. (Invites are super pricey...and then save the dates on top of that...goodness!)

Ok since work has pretty much taken over my life...
I've started blogging for work, too. (Yay!)
I'm going to do a Thankful for Work post this week...add why you're thankful for your job to your list :)
I'm thankful for a lot of things - as you all know. This week I'm focusing on why I'm thankful for my job...
I'm thankful that super busy days mean it flies by so quickly that I'm home before I know it!
I'm thankful for the amazingly nice people who call in & are complete gems...the ones who make me giggle. I am so thankful for those people! They over-ride the meanies.
I'm thankful I even have a job! My county has one of the lowest unemployment rates in Florida. Thank you, Jesus, for my wonderful job!
I'm thankful I get along with all of my co-workers...makes the day that much better.
I'm thankful that instead of having to drive to the post office from work to check the mail, I can walk. What a nice little walk it is, too! Gotta love fresh air :)
I'm thankful that my job is literally a two minute drive from my house. Woohoo!
I'm thankful that my job gives me the opportunity to contribute to the family fund.
I'm thankful that there is a cute dog who keeps us company in the office all day! (My co-workers pup!)

Tasty Tuesday - Pinwheels
It's Tasty Tuesday!
Now that it's football season, that means some tailgating recipes coming at'cha!
Pinwheel Recipe
Ingredients:
-(4) large tortillas
-1 lb of lunch meat (I use turkey)
-Cream cheese
-Spinach
-Onion (optional...diced small)
-Tomatoes (optional...diced small)
-Other vegetables/fruits/seasonings
Directions:
1) Spread cream cheese on tortillas
2) Top with lunch meat
3) Sprinkle diced onions & tomatoes (and whatever else you'd like!)
4) Put spinach on top
5) Roll tortillas tightly
6) Cut in one inch pieces
7) You have yourself a super yummy football treat!
Liquid Eyeliner Recommendation

I have always had a hard time finding a decent eyeliner. Liquid, pencil, gel. I've always had a hard time finding one I liked...and one that lasted. I really like one I got in my Birchbox a couple months ago - but $15 (plus shipping) for eye liner can take a hike.
I browsed a local grocery store for an eyeliner. I came across this gem...
I must say, I've fallen in love!
Maybelline's Stiletto liquid eyeliner is 2 thumbs WAY up in my book. It's thin enough to get a nice sophisticated look & obviously, you can make it as thick as you'd like.
The reason I really like it is that it glides on SO amazingly. It also lasts ALL day. Yup. Early AM to late PM. It's great!
I highly recommend giving this liquid eyeliner a try the next time you are on the market for some. (Let me know what you think when you do!)

Grocery Store Love?
Do you have a "home grocery store"? That one grocery store that you go to just because you have a good time?
I do!
I go to Publix - which I think is just in the south. There are multiple Publixs in my county but my "home" store is only a couple of miles away.
I can't explain it to you - but the nicest, most considerate employees work at this one. They ask me how my day was and how the last meal I cooked turned out. They ask me how the wedding planning is going and we banter back and forth. It's like having a bunch of friends work there.

being able to sleep in on Saturday! Well, I actually made myself sleep in because I needed to catch up on sleep. (I don't like wasting the day away!)
catching some rays & not feeling as pale :D
feeling & knowing I'm missed when I go to the gym to workout. (Old job.) Everyone tells me how much they miss me & how upset they are that I'm not there anymore. (And that the place is falling apart without me...) I know it shouldn't make me feel good, but it does. Weird? Maybe.
