December's Ipsy

I am a HUGE fan of this month's Ipsy bag!!

First off, even though the bombshell lipgloss is a little "loud" - when I wear a thin layer of it, I do like it. It's different for me. Usually I stick to calmer colors but am loving how long this product lasts, too!

The Mai Couture Highlighting Paper is something I have never heard of until December's bag. I was skeptical at first, but once I figured out how to use them - HUGE FAN. They are so easy to use and add a beautiful little extra "something" to your face.

Recently I stared using eye shadow primer so when I saw there was Mirabella Prime in the bag, I got SO excited. It has converted me to a frequent face primer wearer - it makes my foundation and concealer stay on all day.

NYX Eyeshadow. OMG. I don't know if it's this color or the product itself, but I am IN LOVE!! Serious. The color is just so amazingly gorgeous and it lasts all day. At first I thought this was going to be "too much" to wear on a daily basis but it is what I would say PERFECT.

Urban Decay Eye Liner? YES. It's a pencil (which I stopped using and started using liquid) but this is an amazing pencil that is easy to use and lasts all day.

All of these products are close to full products which AMAZES me. I am a huge fan of EVERY single one of these products. Might I mention that I am so glad I said goodbye to Birchbox?!

Wedding Wednesday: Music

DJ or live music?
What did you choose for your wedding?

We're trying to go for live music - a jazz band. But they are mighty expensive! (Like almost more than what food costs...ew!!)

Anyone know of any live musicians willing to travel to North East Florida area who would want to play at my ceremony & reception?!

Gaiam TV Gives You Lots of Happiness!

Although we have television at our house, we do not regularly watch it. What we do watch are shows or movies we select for ourselves on programs like NetFlix, Hulu, and now Gaiam TV! Gaiam TV is a service that offers video subscriptions to those who are interested in health and happiness. There are over 2,000 videos offered! These videos include thought provoking movies and fitness videos. Gaiam TV also gives you the opportunity to watch documentaries online – which is one of our favorite type of videos to watch.  You can stream these videos on your computer, laptop, iPad, and even smart phone!

After watching a few top documentary films, I watched a movie called “Happy.” (Which I highly suggest you watching!) Watching this made me realize that there are a handful of things that make me happy that I can commit to doing more of in 2013 so I continue my happiness.

To start, giving compliments freely to all I come across not only gives happiness to others, but also leaves me with a warm heart and smile on my face. It’s so simple to give a compliment – which means the world to people. I also commit to continuing to remind V how thankful I am for him and how much he means to me. He does this to me – so I know how happy it leaves me! This might sound a little silly but eating fresh fruit and vegetables that are in season makes me happy. Delicious tasting food makes me happy – and when I know it’s healthy, it makes me even happier! I commit to continue eating healthy in 2013. Number four on the list of things that make me happy is getting a good workout in! It leaves my endorphins high and feeling good. It also leaves me happy when I am able to encourage others during their workout. Lastly, focusing on the positives instead of the negatives leaves me a very happy person. There is no need for negative thoughts clouding your pretty little mind!

Thank you Gaiam TV for leaving me a very happy person!

Cami's Holiday Nails!

I decided to get a "Christmasy" color for my gel manicure - maybe (just MAYBE!) it'll last me until Christmas?!

Let me vent for a second - usually I go to one particular lady for my nails. Unfortunately, she's moving come January. So I decided I'd try to find a new nail tech I can use. (Well that and my lady wasn't working Thursday night when I wanted to grab my mani!) I went to a new place - close to home - so I figured it'd be convenient if I fell in love.

It was not love at first mani. Why do people speak a different language that I clearly do not speak?! I don't care if you're talking about me or not - it's rude. It's mean. I know you can speak English perfectly fine - what's the deal?!

Am I the only one who is peeved by this?

Linking up with Vicki & Tara!

It's All in the Jar: Custom Cookie Mix Makes Gift Giving Easy!

I’ve been having some issues with Christmas shopping this year. I am SO behind. This time, last year, I was almost done. Unfortunately, not this time! I was excited when I heard about the Mason Jar Cookie Company – they provide cookie mix that is customizable to the taste of who you are giving your gift to. The company makes it so easy to create your own customizable gift – it’s a fresh new twist on classic recipes for cookies.

With the holiday season being so hectic, some people simply don’t have time to bake from scratch. This homemade cookie mix option is perfect for these kinds of people! (Although, this type of gift is also amazing for any time of the year – who doesn’t enjoy customizable gifts year round?)

Mason Jar Cookie Gifts gives you the choice between thirty five add-ins, additional to the four cookie bases. There are also gluten-free options available to those with gluten intolerance. Once you sift through the many options, you’ll be very happy with the presentation of the custom cookie mix. It is creatively and beautifully packaged in a mason jar – with very little mess! Depending on the ingredients you choose to be part of your custom-made jar, the price starts at $19.

The chocolate cookie mix (and any other options you choose) is incredibly easy to bake. So if the person you are giving this amazing gift to is scared of baking – let them know baking these cookies couldn’t be easier. All you need to do is pour your mixture into a bowl and add the “wet” ingredients that are listed. These ingredients consist of butter, an egg, and possibly milk and/or water.

The Mason Jar Cookie Company blessed me with the opportunity to try the product – thank you! What a delicious and easy treat! Guess what they also blessed me with? An extra jar! I decided to keep the blessings going and share one with my momma!

She surely was excited when she realized she didn’t have to make cookies from scratch for her holiday party – the cookie mix was a lifesaver! Thank you, Mason Jar Cookie Company for the amazing gifts and a truly adorable (and delicious) customizable product!

Makeup of Choice?

A few weeks ago, I grabbed some Smashbox Pressed Powder. Fell in love with it. Unfortunately, the price isn't that great since the pressed powder isn't lasting me as long as I would like.
I know you have to pay for good quality products, but when the product is $32, or so after tax, and lasts maybe a month and half - I want to see what else is out there.

What do you use on your face after you have foundation on? Help :)

Pomegranate Blood Bath

Am I the only one who has issues eating a pomegranate? That leaves what looks like a small murder scene in the kitchen?

I know there is an easier way to cut a pomegranate and eat the seeds (I will admit that I only found this way out recently!)

But I have been so accustomed to doing it the messy way.

Maybe next time, I'll give the clean way a try ;)

This is just another reason I like this time of year -
