I was in Edinburgh - the capital.
I can't even put into words how much I miss it.
I went there my senior year of college...by myself. I didn't know anyone. There were five of us from my university - but I wasn't friends with any of them.
I miss the people. I miss the culture. I miss the history. I miss making so many amazing memories. I miss the adventures.
Such a beautiful city - beautiful people - beautiful culture - beautiful life - beautiful way of living.
I look forward to the day where I can return.
As a person, I grew so much there. I am so thankful for that chapter in my life.
The Edinburgh castle! So gorgeous.

Sounds like a wonderful trip! My friends and I only went as far as Chicago in college but it is still one of my fondest memories :)

I always wanted to study abroad, but since I was at a smaller, Bible college, I never got the opportunity. If I had gotten my Master's degree there, I would have done some of my Internship Internationally, but God had other plans for me. :-)
ReplyDeleteI almost went to China to teach English for a year after graduating, but decided against it. I was scared to go to a country where I didn't speak the language or know a soul. Plus, China scared me since it is SO far away from NC! I hope to visit there someday though.
You make me wanna travel!!! :-)
Love you!
xo,

Lovely pictures. I have been there! My mom is from England and my uncle (her brother) and his family lived in Scotland for a while quite a few years ago. I can swear I have been Edinburgh castle.
ReplyDeleteWould love for you to stop by and share
