Tasty Tuesday - Turkey/Chicken Chili Crockpot

It's my first Tasty Tuesday of the year! In happiness due to the cold weather last night, I made this delicious recipe. (My favorite part is now I have leftovers!)

Turkey/Chicken Chili

Ingredients
1 pound lean ground turkey or chicken
1 small onion, chopped
1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (15 ounces) chickpeas, rinsed and drained
1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (15 ounces) black beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 can (4 ounces) diced mild green chiles
1 to 2 tablespoons chili powder
salt to taste

Directions
1.) Cook and stir turkey and onion in medium nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until turkey is no longer pink. Drain and discard fat. Put in crock pot.
2.) Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Cover; cook on HIGH 6 to 8 hours.
3.) Serve in a bowl and add cheese to taste on top.

  3. Hi Cami, Thanks for coming over today. Your comment made me smile. I love your enthusiasm.

The crockpot dish looks delicious. I love to fix a crock pot meal. The recipe is easy. I learned to cook that way when my children were young and I worked all day. Coming home to dinner all cooked was a blessing.
    Have a wonderful week,
    Jeanne
