ThankfulThursday

Please show some love & post the button or link back to First Day of My Life :)

No matter what the circumstance, even if it's a crummy one, there is some sort of SOMETHING to be thankful for.

This isn't going to be one of my typical "everything is smiles & daises" kind of post today...

My sister's condo was robbed on Wednesday night. There were MANY belongings of her's and her roommate's that was taken. Even a number of sentimental belongings. I do not want to get too in depth about details in such a public manner - but I cannot imagine how she feels right now. I cannot imagine how violated she feels.

Regardless of it all, I am so thankful she was not home. I know you're probably thinking "well, maybe it wouldn't have happened if she was home?" (Or if her roommate was home.) But, you really can't make that decision.

All I know is that I am thankful my sister is safe and out of harm's way. I pray that this never happens again & she goes to the Lord for comfort in times of feeling scared.

  2. Wow. So glad your sister wasn't there! What some don't realize is that it can be dangerous to be there when someone is trying to break in, especially for women. Soo thankful that God protected her. It's incredible the extent of God's protection we don't even realize- that extra red light, saving us from an accident up ahead, or other things that put us right where God wants us out of harm's way.

  4. Cami...I'm sorry that happened to your sister and glad she wasn't home. Things can be replaced...people can't. Getting robbed feels like a terrible violation...Grateful she's okay.

  7. Finding someone was in her home was probably terrifying for your sister, but you're absolutely right. It is such a good thing that no one was home when this happened.
