Matt: V's best friend...his BROTHER...for at least 15 years. For reasons we cannot comprehend, God took him home on February 10th.
I want to share with you what Matt taught me - Matt taught me to love everyone. Yes, EVERYONE. Even though you might not like them, they will never EVER know.
He taught me to always have a smile on my face - no matter what. It truly is contagious.
Matt taught me to embrace other people. He was everyone's biggest fans. A handful of people know I have a blog. Guess who read my blog and would make comments about things I posted when I would see him? Matt. Matt got so excited for things that YOU were excited about. Not only would he get excited about them, but he would ask you how it was going and ask you questions.
He would never say no to an adventure - to an instance that had an opportunity to become a memory.
I could go on and on, but I will leave you with one thought. Be the one in others' lives - the one who they go to for a smile, a laugh, a comforting hug, an excited question about your new venture, a crazy off the wall metaphor, an adventure...
I thank my God every time I remember you; I will always love you, be thankful for all you taught me, and for being V's absolute best friend and number one fan. <3
Matt, you will always be my favorite. And I promise that we will live on your legacy, tell your beautiful babies what their amazing father was like, and we will be THAT ONE for them.
Oh Cami ... this post is beautiful. My heart is still breaking for you & V and everyone who loved him. He sound like an amazing man ... I have no doubt his legacy will live on through all who knew him (and maybe even those who did not!)ReplyDelete
