There are so many different types of diets, aren't there?
It's all a little overwhelming to me! Not that I need to diet, I just need to figure out how and what I should eat. I have been told that I should not follow a particular diet, but rather, eat healthy food in moderation and I will be good to go. Especially since I do not need to lose weight. I just need to be healthy!
For those who are looking for a particular diet in order to lose weight, Retrofit has compiled a great group of diets together on a nifty infograph. (I'm a huge fan of infographs!)
They explain the Dukan Diet, the Wheat Belly Diet, Alkaline Diet, Blood Type Diet, and Paleo Diet. The way the diets are explained is very easy to read and understand what the basis of them are.
What I find interesting is that Retrofit does not actually recommend any of these diets. From what they suggest you take away from the diets are that there are other key nutrients and foods that are left out of the diets. While you might lose weight, your body is being deprived from other key nutrients.
From my knowledge with dieting, it is best to consult your physician before you choose a diet.
