2012 Olympics - London

Who else is SO STOKED that another four years have passed and it's time for the Olympics again?!

I thought the Opening Ceremony was great. I've heard a lot of people say it got "weird" and the last rap/dance thing that there was, was a little...odd...not sure what was going on? But I enjoyed the rest of it! Especially the deaf lady who was playing drums and plays by feeling the vibration. What an inspiration! I feel like if you like Broadway/theater, you enjoyed the ceremony.

I've had the Olympics on every moment I've been home - even if it's on in the background. It's hard to pick what's my favorite - gymnastics is for sure up there! I do enjoy the swimming and cycling, too...oh, and soccer! Yeah, hard to pick a favorite.

It's been SO fun to watch, too, since it's in London. I've been to London so it is very mesmerizing to watch, with tons of memories flowing back. (Like the cycling throughout the streets of London!)

What I think is incredibly amazing is the fact that all of these people, from so many different nations, speaking so many different language, can get together in harmony, compete, and fan can enjoy it all as ONE.

That's where true sportsmanship shines through!

Are you enjoying the Olympics as much as me?? If so, what's your favorite sport to watch?!

  1. I love watching too! Had them on alllll weekend and pretty much will for the next 2 weeks!

  2. I LOVE the Olympics - the hubby and I had a little opening ceremonies party of Friday night!! :)

  3. I stayed home from work today and you better believe it's been on all day. I always tell Loomis that it's just for 2 weeks, but that's all we're watching every 2 years! I love it all.. winter games.. summer games bring it on! :)

  4. I love the Olympics, I do. But the opening ceremony was a bit of a snoozefest compared to Beijing. Also, I'm not sure why team USA wore berets... isn't that a French thing? It looked weird.

  5. I have been absolutely GLUED to the Olympics. We had a brunch at our apartment yesterday and we kept it on in the background the whole time. I am so impressed by the athletes' abilities...I've been especially fascinated by the diving.

  6. i loved the opening ceremony too! i'm olympic obsessed :) i threw an opening ceremony party, lol (i posted about it on my blog today)

  7. I've really enjoyed the events that I've gotten to see...especially gymnastics and swimming. Gymnastics will always be a big favorite of mine because I remember as a child watching. :)

  8. steve and i watched the divers last night and i was in such awe. idk how they do it? they are so in sync with one another.

I love hearing from my readers and what they have to say! Thank you for visiting! <3
